Who are we?
We are a family business – Colin and Cathy McCallum and Cameron and Catherine McCallum – Colin and Cathy are Cameron’s parent and Catherine is his wife. What are the chances of having all C. McCallum’s in a business….? I suppose they are slightly higher given we are family but it does make life a bit tricky sometimes!
Colin founded Heritable in 2002, spotting a gap in the market for an approachable Independent Financial Advisor. He worked for large corporate companies before who were tied to specific lenders. Becoming Independent meant that he had access to the whole of the market and therefore could help clients find the best deals for their set of circumstances. Colin founded an invaluable working relationship with Johnston Financial who have provided excellent and essential compliance support.
8 Years ago Cathy, Colin’s wife joined the company and since then the company has grown from strength to strength. Cathy brought with her an vast knowledge of systems and working practices from previous jobs Education and Training.
At the end of 2018, Cameron (Cammie) joined the business. Cammie had previously worked in Commercial Property Development and Surveying so he has an excellent knowledge of all things property related, business and contacts. He is currently sitting his Financial Planning exams.
Catherine has been working with the company on all things digital (website, social media and of course, the blog). She runs her own business and brings in a new perspective on marketing.

what do we do?
At Heritable we work on many different areas but our two main arms are Heritable Financial Planning and Heritable Mortgages.
